FC Dallas to receive up to $400,000 in Allocation Money

Frisco, Texas â€“ FC Dallas has traded forward Dominique Badji to Nashville SC in exchange for $150,000 in 2020 General Allocation Money (GAM) and $175,000 in 2020 Targeted Allocation Money (TAM).

FC Dallas could receive an additional $75,000 in GAM if Badji meets certain performance metrics while with Nashville SC. 


Badji, 27, scored eight goals and recorded four assists in 38 appearances for FC Dallas. He was acquired from the Colorado Rapids on July 23, 2018 in exchange for Homegrown midfielder Kellyn Acosta. Badji made his FC Dallas debut on Aug. 12, 2018 and scored the lone goal in the 2-1 loss against Seattle Sounders FC.

Born in Dakar, Senegal, Badji started his professional career with the Colorado Rapids after being drafted 67th overall in the fourth round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. He scored 24 goals and 12 assists in 91 regular season matches for the Rapids.

Badji played four seasons at Boston University, where he scored 26 goals in 69 appearances and was named 2014 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year his senior season.
