Rodrigo Rios
Assistant Coach
Rodrigo Rios begins his first season with FC Dallas in 2025, bringing years of experience in coaching and player development. A native of Chile, Rios started his soccer journey at Universidad Católica, where he progressed through the academy and represented Chile at the U-20 and U-23 national team levels. He originally came to America in 2005 to play for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL.
Following his playing career, Rios took on roles in coaching and administration, becoming the Silverbacks’ Director of Soccer in 2010 when the team transitioned to the NASL. He also coached youth soccer at Norcross Soccer Academy and the United Football Academy, earning recognition as Georgia’s “Coach of the Year” in 2013. Rios holds USSF A and B coaching licenses.
From 2016-20, Rios was part of Atlanta United’s Academy coaching staff, serving as Head Coach of the U-19 team and assisting Gerardo Martino’s first team from 2017-18. He then joined Austin FC serving as an assistant coach from 2021-24.
