Paxton Pomykal came up through the Academy and signed with FC Dallas as the 15th Homegrown. As one of the fan favorites on FC Dallas' roster, Pomykal has not only grown in his talent and presence, but in his league wide recognition.
1. Homegrown Talent
Paxton played a large role in his Academy team's successes from 2015-2017. He helped the U-18 team win the Dallas Cup’s Gordon Jago Super Group, as well as being on team's claiming the U-16 and U-18 National Championships. Not only was he on team's that showed success, at a young age Pomykal was named to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy's starting XI for the Central Conference. A large number of teammates from the Academy now play alongside Pomykal at the first team level.
2. Building Up His National Recognition
Not only has Pomykal been a force for FC Dallas in MLS play, but he has also been recognized nationwide for his talent. Pomykal had the opportunity to captain the U-20 National Team during the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, where they made it to the Round of 16. Following his performance in the U-20 World Cup, Paxton earned his first senior USMNT call-up in September. Along with National Team call-ups Paxton has been a common name talked about in Major League Soccer. In 2019 alone, he accomplished all of that and got picked as the Commissioner's Pick for the MLS All-Star Game.
3. Balancing Act
On top of being a professional athlete, and ambassador for FC Dallas, Pomykal is currently enrolled as a student at SNHU. Paxton has been able to maintain a professional life, education, and being a regular 20 year-old while developing his skills and personal branding throughout Major League Soccer. His favorite extracurricular activity is hanging out with friends, or swimming.

Paxton is always looking to have fun. Whether it's a public nutmeg video, trick shots or a vlog at the All-Star game, Paxton is always down. We all know he knows how to grow a mean mustache!
5. Health and Splurging is All in the Cards
Paxton tries to balance his nutrition as much as he can for being a young professional athlete. Some of his favorite foods are Nut Thins, Trolli Crawlers, and Buffalo Wings. Everyone has their weakness but Paxton also said his favorite local restaurant is Snappy Salads where you can build your own salad, or get a menu salad that balances out those splurges.
