FRISCO, Texas- The Girls Academy was back in action in Frisco at the Toyota Soccer Center this weekend where they faced Real Colorado and Colorado Rush Academy. The Boys U-13s and U-14s traveled this past weekend to face the San Antonio FC Academy. Here's a quick recap of what the weekend entailed for the Academy.
GIRLS ACADEMY:
- U-19s: The girls look to continue building a winning streak after successfully beating both their opponents. They won against Real Colorado 2-1, and Colorado Rush 3-1 with goals from Kaitlyn Giametta, Samar Guidry, Samiah Phiri, and Abbie Rushwin.
- U-17s: Started the weekend slow as they lost to Real Colorado 1-3 but had more edge and won 3-1 over Colorado Rush U-17s thanks to a brace from Maeve Jones, and a goal from Morganne Eikelbarner.
- U-16s: Back to back wins against Real Colorado and Colorado Rush allowed the U-16s to continue building from their win against Oklahoma Energy last week. Goals were scored by Taylor Zdrowjewski, and Jayme Ramirez.
- U-15s: As the team gets back into a regular schedule they competed in two matches this weekend finishing with a 1-0 win, and a 2-2 draw. Cameron Roller scoring two goals and one goal coming from an Own Goal from Colorado.
- U-14s: A strong weekend winning both of their matches 5-2 and 5-0 adds to the team's confidence as they continue to develop their competitive edge. Taylor Person netted a brace in each game. Amaya Dawkins scored twice, while Caroline Martin, Jada Reyes, Mia Gildea, and Reaganne Morris all scored individual goals.

Boys Academy:
- U-14s: Jared Salazar, Malachi Molina, Jack Minsky, and Kristian Kelley pushed to find the net allowing the team to win their match in San Antonio with a final score of 5-2 as they look to get back into the swing of the regular game season.
- U-13s: A huge showing in San Antonio following their international friendlies ended the match with final score of 8-0. Brice Miller scored four goals with Myles Nicholes, Christian Bazaldua, and Jeyden Arboleda all scoring single goals.

NEXT WEEK: Next week the Girls Academy faces Solar Soccer Academy at the University of Dallas Soccer Field in Irving. The Boys U-15s and U-17s head to Houston to compete in the second leg of the GA Cup qualifiers while the rest of the Boys Academy returns to action the weekend of February 22nd.
