Academy Update: 3/1

FRISCO – The FC Dallas Academy and Pre Academy teams played a total of five matches over the weekend and compiled a collective record of 3-1-1. While the Academy teams traveled to the University of Tulsa to take on Sporting Kansas City, the Pre Academy teams hosted Solar Chelsea SC at Wakeland High School.

FC Dallas U-18s: 3
Sporting Kansas City: 0

The U-18s shutout Sporting Kansas City 3-0 on Sunday afternoon. Yomeri Reyes made his U-18 debut, and it was a memorable one as he scored a brace with goals coming in the 35th and 69th minutes, respectively. Forward Victor Portillo put the game out of reach in the 80th minute with his fifth goal of the season. Goalkeeper Caleb Underwood picked up the shutout for FC Dallas, the eighth clean sheet of the season for the U-18s.

The team remains in first place in the Frontier Division with an overall record of 11-3-2.

FC Dallas U-16s: 4
Sporting Kansas City: 1

The U-16s also boasted a three-goal margin of victory over Kansas City this weekend. Midfielder Coy Craft managed to give FCD the early 1-0 lead with a goal in the fourth minute, but Sporting tied it up late in the first half on a long distance goal by Matthew Lewis. After the half, FC Dallas subbed in Santiago Agudelo and the big forward scored a hat trick in rapid fashion with all three strikes coming in a seven-minute timespan. Agudelo now leads the team with 14 goals on the season.

The U-16s are still in second place in the Frontier Division, right behind the first-place Houston Dynamo with two games in-hand over the MLS rivals.

FC Dallas U-15s: 1
Solar Chelsea SC: 0

The U-15s posted their seventh straight shutout, beating Solar 1-0. Eric Davies scored the game's lone goal for FCD. The undefeated U-15s remain in second place in the Texas Pre Academy League with four games in-had over the first-place Houston Dynamo.

FC Dallas U-14s: 0
Solar Chelsea SC:1

The U-14s suffered just their second loss of the season as Solar claimed the 1-0 victory. Despite the loss, the squad is still in first place in the Texas Pre Academy League with an overall record of 10-2-2.

FC Dallas U-13s: 1
Solar Chelsea SC: 1

The U-13s tied Solar 1-1 as Javier Barajas scored FCD's goal in the draw. The side remains atop the Texas Pre Academy League, with 30 points earned through 13 games played.
