FRISCO — FC Dallas midfielder Paxton Pomykal has recently returned to MLS play after a brief stint with the US National Team at the U-20 World Cup in Poland. Already making waves in MLS at such a young age, Pomykal is looking to make his first All-Star game in his career.
Here are three reasons to vote for Pomykal.
The International Armband
Pomykal was selected by Tab Ramos to join the US U-20 National Team for the World Cup in Poland, and once he arrived overseas, he was given the captains armband for every match he started in. Already a leader at the international level, Pomykal has been given responsibilities that not every 19-year-old gets to have in MLS.
Chance Creator
Pomykal has appeared in nine matches this season in MLS, and he’s already created 16 chances within that time. At the center of the formation and heart of the team, one of Pomykal’s biggest strengths is his vision to find his teammates in crucial areas.
Leaving His Mark
If Pomykal were to be selected to this year’s All-Star game, he would be the youngest representative for FC Dallas. The last homegrown to make the All-Star team from FCD was Kellyn Acosta, who was selected in both 2016 and 2017.
