Prescott draped a FC Dallas across the Lamar Hunt statue at Toyota Stadium to get the night started. He stayed and cheered on FC Dallas from the confines of Toyota Stadium.

It is not the first time that Prescott has attended a FC Dallas game. He was out at the home opener against the New England Revolution. He is still a relatively new fan to the game, but is already hooked.

“Their footwork just amazes me,” Prescott said. “They use their feet and never touch the ball. I obviously need the ball in my hands. It’s just different. The way they can control the ball with their feet just amazes me.”

He first found a liking of soccer back at Mississippi State during the World Cup and has continued to grow his fandom with the FIFA video games. With the Cowboys’ move to Frisco, it placed FC Dallas basically in his backyard. Prescott had to come check it out.

Prescott did not play soccer growing up, but does believe the game in America is growing.

“I think it’s growing,” Prescott said. “Just passing by the soccer fields out back I saw the number of kids and number of games going on. I think we’re going in the right direction. I think we’ve taken athletes that would be really good at soccer and take them away with basketball and football because of our love for those sports.”

FC Dallas is undefeated when Prescott is in Toyota Stadium 2-0-1. On this night? The club dropped five goals in the first half.
