BEST OF 2018: Gina Miller's Favorite Stories of 2018

Gina Best of 2018

FRISCO - 2018 gave us a slew of opportunities to get to know our players better…and see their acting chops. As we look back on the year, a theme stands out: these guys are funny!

Here are my five favorite FC Dallas stories from the past 12 months.

Reggie Retires

Reggie Cannon has a future in acting when he retires from soccer. He played this bit perfectly. Perhaps my favorite part is former Technical Director Fernando Clavijo's reaction. It's priceless.

Luchi’s First Day

The day we announced Luchi Gonzalez as the man to replace Oscar Pareja as FC Dallas’ seventh head coach in team history was special not just for Gonzalez but the entire FC Dallas organization.

Ryan & Maxi’s Matchday Routine

Renovations on Toyota Stadium’s south end wrapped up this year (YES!). In addition to the National Soccer Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame Club and Open Cup Club, the players’ locker rooms experienced a substantial upgrade. The first team uses them on match day. Ryan Hollingshead and Maxi Urruti gave a tour of the new space in a way only they can.

Thanksgiving Trivia

“What are chickens?” Francis Atuahene.

These guys crack me up in a game of Thanksgiving Day trivia. It’s worth a watch.

Reggie Reunites with the Cannon

Thanks to winning the Texas Derby in 2018, FC Dallas took possession of the series’ prize, El Capitan – a Civil War-era replica cannon. Of course we had to have some with the Cannon reuniting with the cannon.
