FC Dallas players have now earned 31 UnitedHealthcare International Call-ups this season
FRISCO, Texas – FC Dallas midfielder Bryan Acosta (Honduras) and forward Zdeněk Ondrášek (Czech Republic) have been called up to their respective countries for the FIFA international window running from November 11-19.
Acosta, 25, scored two goals and recorded one assist in 26 appearances for FC Dallas this season. Acosta scored his first career playoff goal for FC Dallas in the 82nd minute of the Audi 2019 playoff match against Seattle Sounders FC on Oct. 19 at CenturyLink Field, to tie the match 3-3 in regulation before falling to Seattle, 4-3, in extra time. Acosta has 41 appearances for Los Catrachos, last appearing in the final 15 minutes of the 1-0 win against Martinique on Oct. 13.
Honduras will play Martinique on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. CT at Stade Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France, Martinique and Trinidad and Tobago on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. CT at Olímpico Metropolitano in San Pedro Paulo, Honduras. Los Catrachos defeated both Trinidad and Tobago, 2-0, and Martinique, 1-0, in the Concacaf Nations League matches in October.
The Concacaf Nations League will impact qualification for Concacaf Gold Cup and the FIFA rankings, a major component of FIFA World Cup qualifying.
Ondrášek, 30, scored seven goals and recorded two assists in 17 appearances for FC Dallas this season. He joins the Czech Football Team for the final two UEFA EURO Qualifier matches against Kosovo and Bulgaria. Ondrášek made his Czech Football Team debut and scored the game-winning goal against England in the 85th minute of the EURO Qualifier match on Oct. 11. Three days later, Ondrášek recorded his first two international assists in the 3-2 loss international friendly against Northern Ireland.
The Czech Football Team hosts Kosovo at Doosan Arena in Plzeň, Czech Republic on Nov. 14 at 1:45 p.m. CT and later travel to Stadion Vasil Levski to face the Bulgarian National Team on Nov. 17 at 11:00 a.m. CT.
