Frisco, Texas – On his NBC Sports Radio Show, "The Newy Scruggs Show", Scruggs talks to Clark Hunt about his college soccer career at Southern Methodist University, discussing FC Dallas player personnel discussions with Dan Hunt and his time split between FC Dallas and the Kansas City Chiefs. The NBC Sports Radio host dives deep into the NFL rumors coming out of training camp this week before asking Hunt for the most important sports advice he every received from his father, Lamar Hunt.
“My father taught me the importance of the fan base and specifically the season ticket holders,” Hunt said. “I talk to our players about always taking the time to sign that extra autograph because the fan base allows us all the tremendous opportunity to work in sports.”
Scruggs closed by asking about the Chiefs’ Super Bowl drought.
“If you’re not qualifying for playoffs, you’re not giving yourself a chance,” answered Hunt.
The Chiefs qualified for playoffs in three of the last four NFL seasons while FC Dallas has made MLS playoffs every season since Oscar Pareja took over as head coach of FC Dallas in 2014.
