FRISCO, Texas - Midfielders Fafa Picault and Andrés Ricaurte have been named to the MLS Team of the Week after standout performances in FC Dallas' 3-0 win in the Texas Derby over the Houston Dynamo at Toyota Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Picault stole the headlines by scoring his first brace for FC Dallas as well as adding an assist for Franco Jara's opening goal on Saturday afternoon. In addition to his goals, Picault won three fouls, made two tackles and had a 76% passing accuracy to round off what was probably his best outing in an FC Dallas jersey so far.
While he wasn't on the scoresheet, Ricaurte enjoyed an imperious performance in Dallas' midfield. The 28-year-old had game-highs in touches (95), successful passes (62), passes in the opposition's half (39), successful crosses (3), key passes (3) and shots (4). He also made the pass of the game with a pinpoint over-the-top ball straight to Picault's head to assist Dallas' second goal of the day.
It's both Picault and Ricaurte's second Team of the Week appearance of the season.
