FRISCO, Texas - Forward Fafa Picault was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 8 after opening the scoring Saturday night against Minnesota United; his first in FC Dallas colors.
The match was Picault's third start for the club (first since the restart) and he marked the occasion with an 11th-minute goal after cutting inside from the left wing and unleashing a curling effort into the bottom corner.
In addition to his goal, Picault created two goal-scoring chances and completed 18 passes (78% accuracy) and drew one foul before leaving the game with an apparent hamstring issue. Head coach Luchi Gonzalez confirmed that Picault underwent an MRI today, Monday, Aug. 31 to confirm the extent of the injury.
