FC Dallas acquires Mauro Rosales via trade with Whitecaps FC

FRISCO, Texas (Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016) – FC Dallas has acquired Mauro Rosales from Whitecaps FC, pending the receipt of his ITC, in exchange for Blas Perez, the club announced today.

Rosales, 34, is a veteran of 142 MLS matches with 13 goals and 48 assists with Seattle Sounders FC (2011-13), Chivas USA (2014) and Vancouver (2014-15). Last season, Rosales appeared in 24 matches for Whitecaps FC. He scored one goal and had three assists.

Rosales began his professional career in 1999 with Newell’s Old Boys (Argentina), transferred to AFC Ajax in the Netherlands in 2004 and joined River Plate from 2007 to 2010 before being acquired by Sounders FC in 2011.

With FC Dallas’ home opener at Toyota Stadium just 19 days away, the team is sending signed Mauro Rosales photos to the first 50 accounts that purchase tickets to the game against the Philadelphia Union. The match, which is set for Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. CT, is presented by AdvoCare.
