FC Dallas’ and Chase’s Five Days of Giving continued on Tuesday with a chance to help strengthen a legacy project in historic Oak Cliff.

The YMCA’s Oak Cliff & Moorland locations are in the process of merging facilities which will result in the development of the Moorland Family YMCA at Oak Cliff. These efforts include expanding the property’s outdoor youth sports areas along with other renovations.

“FC Dallas and Chase, that combination coming together with the YMCA, is really incredible because you have three powerful organizations doing good in the community,” said YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Vice President of Operations Keith Vinson.

This donation from FC Dallas & Chase will allow the new YMCA location to build and continue to promote safe play with installations such as new turf and other enhancements.

“Here in Oak Cliff, soccer is booming and we’ll have the opportunity now to create play in a space where we have them under the lights and create opportunities for hundreds of young people to be able to play on this surface,” said Vinson.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas has provided emergency childcare services for the children of frontline workers, hosted blood drives in conjunction with the American Red Cross and also provided boxed meals for families in low to moderate income communities during the pandemic
