The United States Men’s National Team and a pair of FC Dallas players get ready for Trinidad & Tobago in a must win World Cup Qualifier on Thursday. FC Dallas midfielder Kellyn Acosta and defender Matt Hedges have a possibility to start in Commerce City.
Hertha Berlin defender John Brooks picked up a knock in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Venezuela. Hedges is the top candidate to take Brooks’ spot off the bench. As for Acosta, Bruce Arena could slot him into the line-up if he wants to give Toronto FC man Michael Bradley some room to roam.
Both Hedges and Acosta appeared against Venezuela off the bench. Hedges played 34 minutes for Arena while Acosta put in 27 minutes in the midfield off the bench.
A 12-1-3 all-time record against Trinidad & Tobago is a good sign for the United States who started the Hex 1-3. The Soca Warriors are the only team behind the USMNT in points in the Hex.
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. local time. You can head to our official watch party at British Beverage Company in Dallas. Or you can catch the match on FS1 and UniMás.
