Frisco, TX (March 8, 2022) - From drone shows and a Star Wars-themed night to an entire evening honoring the men and women who serve our country, FC Dallas’ 2022 home matches at Toyota Stadium offer something for every fan. Dallas announced its theme and giveaways today for the remainder of the 2022 MLS regular season in advance of its second home match against Nashville SC which is presented by AdvoCare on Saturday, March 12 (7:30PM on TXA 21, KMPX-29).
In addition to elevated matchday programming, such as the popular Sweet Tooth Hotel pop-up, augmented reality experiences, balloon installations, human hamster ball races and a DJ that fans can enjoy for most home matches, guests visiting Toyota Stadium will enjoy a variety of exciting theme nights:
St. Patrick’s Day Party on the Pitch – March 12 vs Nashville SC
It’s a St. Patrick’s Day party on the pitch from 5:30-7PM on Tundra Field 2, located just north of Toyota Stadium. The pregame party kicks off with live music from the Justin Wade Band. There will also be inflatable axe throwing, a climbing wall, giant beverage pong and an inflatable mechanical bull that fans of all ages can enjoy. Fans will also get the chance to take a shot against FC Dallas Ambassador Kenny Cooper and mascot Tex Hooper. Guests attending Dallas’ match against Nashville SC which is presented by AdvoCare will receive a clear purse and bag policy-approved cinch sack upon entry as well as a sample of AdvoCare’s popular GO MEs gummy vitamins.
Military Appreciation Night – March 19 vs Portland Timbers
FC Dallas’ match against Portland on March 19 is presented by Toyota. Throughout the night Dallas and Toyota will honor active-duty military personnel and veterans with their annual Military Appreciation Night. The highlight of the evening will be a U.S. Army swearing-in ceremony at halftime of the match. Live music will take place in the Gallagher Club at the National Soccer Hall of Fame by Big City Outlaws from the gates opening to first kick and halftime. Shortly after the conclusion of FC Dallas’ match against the Timbers, fans are invited to remain in their seats for a postgame fireworks show set to patriotic music to celebrate the newest members of the U.S. Army.
Get in the Game Night - April 9 vs Colorado Rapids
FC Dallas fans can experience a new virtual soccer reality and get in the game for themselves on Saturday, April 9 with two augmented and virtual reality installations. An augmented reality mural, brought to life by Groove Jones, will be located on the northeast concourse. It will feature a QR code that will activate a customized AR experience with Paul Arriola, Jesús Ferreira and Paxton Pomykal. Groove Jones’ XR Avatar Station will also be available inside the Gallagher Club at the National Soccer Hall of Fame. The Gallagher Club will be open for all fans in the stadium to enjoy this one-of-a-kind virtual experience. FC Dallas fans will have a chance to step inside, get volumetrically scanned by 50 4K cameras and be immersed into a customized, soccer-themed video they can experience and share on their favorite social media platforms.
FC Dallas Superfan Day – April 23 vs Houston Dynamo
It’s a celebration for all FC Dallas fans in the first Texas Derby match of 2022 against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, April 23. Characters in popular hero-themed costumes will be roaming the concourse to entertain FC Dallas superfans prior to kick. The north concourse will be filled with activities for all fans to enjoy the Friday before and during the match. The game’s presenting partner, Chick-fil-A, will provide an exclusive offer for fans upon entry.
FC Dallas Youth Night – May 7 vs Seattle Sounders
Annually one of the most exciting nights of the season, FC Dallas Youth Night honors its youth and Academy players when Dallas hosts the Seattle Sounders in a match presented by Texas Health Sports Medicine. In addition to an in-house DJ, the highlight of the night will feature an FC Dallas-themed drone show after the match. Be part of the show with an LED light-up necklace that will be given away.
Hall of Fame Game – May 22 vs Minnesota United FC
FC Dallas honors the 2022 National Soccer Hall of Fame class during its match against Minnesota United FC which is presented by WinStar World Casino and Resort on Sunday, May 22. Icons of the beautiful game such as Clint Dempsey, Shannon Boxx, Hope Solo and Marco Etcheverry will be recognized during the match. A clear tote bag will be given to guests upon entry.
Y’all Means All Night + Honoring Juneteenth – June 18 vs Vancouver Whitecaps
FC Dallas’ match against Vancouver celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion with its annual Y’all Means All Night which honors the LGBTQIA+ community. The night will also recognize Juneteenth, which is a June 19th federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of Black slaves.
July 4th Celebration – July 4 vs Inter Miami CF
FC Dallas’ commemorates Independence Day on Monday, July 4. when Dallas hosts Miami in a match presented by CoServ. The night will have a variety of entertainment options including pregame laser tag on Tundra Field 2 and a video game truck on the Toyota Stadium concourse. The highlight of the night is FC Dallas’ famous July 4 fireworks show that will take place shortly after the conclusion of the match.
Star Wars Night – July 30 vs LA Galaxy
FC Dallas’ hosts Star Wars night on Saturday, July 30 when LA Galaxy visits Toyota Stadium in a match presented by UnitedHealthcare. Star Wars character actors will be in attendance while light-up bam sticks will be presented to fans upon entry. Following the match, FC Dallas will host a fireworks show and Star Wars-themed drone show.
Non-Profit Night – August 27 vs Real Salt Lake
FC Dallas and the FC Dallas Foundation will honor Dallas/Fort Worth non-profit organizations on August 27 against Real Salt Lake. Fans will have the opportunity to learn more about North Texas charities and participate in a match-day auction featuring authentic, autographed merchandise. The FC Dallas Foundation’s mission is to support programs that promote education, health and wellness to empower youth and communities in North Texas. All fans are invited to enjoy postgame fireworks on behalf of Vogel Alcove.
Hispanic Heritage + Kick Childhood Cancer Night – September 10 vs LAFC
FC Dallas celebrates the kickoff of Hispanic Heritage month, which runs September 15-October 15, for its match against LAFC which is presented by Toyota. A Hispanic Heritage-themed T-shirt will be given away upon entry while fans can enjoy live music in the Gallagher Club at the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
September is also National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. FC Dallas will also recognize the children and families who battle childhood cancer by honoring these brave individuals during the match as part of its Kick Childhood Cancer initiatives throughout September.
Fan Appreciation Night – October 9 vs Sporting Kansas City
Dallas closes the 2022 regular season at home with its annual Fan Appreciation Match in a Decision Day battle against Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, October 9. This match honors FC Dallas fans who support the club. The match will feature a field day on Toyota Soccer Center’s Tundra Field 2 that will include laser tag, an obstacle course, human hamster ball races and pickup soccer matches.
3 Points Wednesdays
The 2022 season will see two 3 Points Wednesday matches. These popular nights offer $3 beers and $1 hot dogs throughout Toyota Stadium. This offer is active for all Wednesday night FC Dallas matches (July 13 vs NYCFC and August 17 vs Philadelphia).
