FC Dallas, Azteca America KAZD TV-55 agree to local Spanish broadcast deal for 2012

FRISCO, Texas -- FC Dallas and Spanish-language television outlet Azteca America KAZD TV-55 have signed a broadcast agreement for the 2012 season.


The station will air seven regular-season games, including the upcoming FC Dallas match on May 19th against Philadelphia. Games will air Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.


“We are proud to partner with Azteca America -55 for this season,” said FC Dallas President and CEO Doug Quinn. “They are a well-respected media outlet with a strong tradition of airing top soccer matches and will give us great coverage for the Hispanic market in the DFW Metroplex.”


Carlos Alvarado and Rafa Calderon will partner in the broadcast booth, while Erik Mora will handle sideline reporting. Azteca-55 will feature a special halftime commentary highlighting the team’s performance and upcoming games.


“We are very excited about our new partnership with FC Dallas,” said KAZD-TV’s Vice President and General Manager Luis Hernández.  “Our recent full-power signal upgrade brings Azteca America, and now FC Dallas closer to the DFW Hispanic community.”
