FC Dallas players have now earned 28 MoneyGram International call-ups in 2016
FRISCO, Texas (Monday, Oct. 3) – FC Dallas’ Carlos Gruezo (Ecuador) and Aubrey David (Trinidad & Tobago) have been called in by their respective national teams for the current FIFA international window, running through Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Gruezo, 21, is eyeing his 18th cap with Ecuador as Los Amarillos get set to host Chile in a CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying match at Estadio Olimpico Atahualpa on Thursday, Oct. 6. Ecuador will then travel to face Bolivia at Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Gruezo has logged 2,060 minutes (25 appearances) in his defensive midfield role for FC Dallas this season. He has played another 360 minutes in U.S. Open Cup and CCL action since joining FCD on Jan. 23.
David, 25, has been capped 28 times by Trinidad & Tobago. The Soca Warriors host the Dominican Republic in Caribbean Cup action at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The team then travels to Stade Municipal Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France, Martinique to face Les Matinino in another Caribbean Cup match on Monday, Oct. 10.
David, who joined FC Dallas on July 4, has logged 360 minutes in MLS play, 91 minutes in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tournament and 180 minutes in CONCACAF Champions League.
