MoneyGram will continue to serve as naming rights partner
FRISCO - FC Dallas and the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department have extended their agreement allowing FC Dallas to manage MoneyGram Soccer Park through a multiyear partnership. As a part of the agreement, MoneyGram will continue to serve as the naming rights partner of the 120-acre, 19-field soccer complex in northwest Dallas.
“MoneyGram Soccer Park is one of north Texas’ finest athletic facilities,” said FC Dallas Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Smith. “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department and MoneyGram.”
In 2016 and 2017 alone, MoneyGram Soccer Park generated an economic impact of more than $55 million dollars in part to hosting more than 66,000 players from across the world in tournaments such as Dallas Cup, Premier SuperCopa and Premier Cup.
“Over the past five years, the Dallas Park and Recreation Department has had a great partner in FC Dallas, which has brought tournaments on a national and international level to Dallas,” said Dallas Park and Recreation Department Director Willis Winters. “Under FC Dallas’ management, the Elm Fork Athletic Complex has become a destination for teams in Texas and the nation. Furthering this partnership will bring continued benefits.”

FC Dallas has managed the park since it opened in 2014. This year, Connect Sports named the complex one of the Best Soccer Fields in the U.S. In 2017, MoneyGram Soccer Park Field 8 earned “Professional Soccer Field of the Year” honors from the Sports Turf Managers Association.
