There has been a strong FC Dallas presence in both the U.S. and Mexico Girls’ and Women’s National Teams during the past few weeks.

Four FC Dallas players have either taken part in international tournaments or have been invited to training camps by their respective countries.

Both midfielder Hollyn Torres and defender Reyna Reyes took part in last month’s Torneo Femminile Delle Nazioni in Europe. Torres did so with the U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team, while Reyes competed with Mexico.

Torres and Reyes played in both Italy and Slovenia during the tournament, which the U.S. won with a 3-0-1 record. Mexico finished in third place. The two played against each other in the group stage when the U.S. defeated Mexico 4-0.

Reyes is a member of the FC Dallas ECNL Under-17 team, while Torres plays with the FC Dallas ECNL Under-16 team that currently leads the ECNL Texas Conference.

Defender Samar Guidry of the FC Dallas ECNL Under-16 team is also headed to Europe as one of twenty players in the U.S. Under-16 Girls’ National Team competing in a four-team tournament in Belgium this month.

Hollyn’s older sister, midfielder Taryn Torres, hopes to make an international appearance of her own later this week. A member of the Texas Conference-leading FC Dallas ECNL Under-18 and Under-19 team, she was invited to the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team training camp in Carson, California.

The camp runs from May 13 to May 20 and concludes with a match against the Japan Under-20 Women’s National Team.

Hollyn Torres, Reyes and Guidry are all expected to be apart of FC Dallas' inaugural U.S. Soccer Development Girls' Academy season starting this Fall.
