FRISCO, Texas (March 14, 2022) – FC Dallas Homegrown and forward Jesús Ferreira was named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week for Week 6, while Homegrown Brandon Servania was named to the TOTW bench following the 3-1 comeback win against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, April 9 at Toyota Stadium. This is Ferreira’s second Team of the Week appearance this season and ninth overall since 2019 and Servania’s first Team of the Week bench appearance of the season.
Ferreira, 21, scored his second MLS career brace in the 50th and 89th minutes. He scored the game-winning goal in the 50th minute after Jáder Obrian intercepted the ball from Colorado and sent the ball towards Marco Farfan who found Ferreira near the top of the box. Ferreira took one touch, turned towards the goal and fired his shot to the bottom right corner past Yarbrough. Ferreira would cement FC Dallas’ win in the 89th minute after Ferreira drew Yarbrough out of the goal and sent a left-footed shot to Colorado’s empty net from the six-yard box following a fast break from Brandon Servania.
Servania, 23, scored his first goal of the season and began FC Dallas’ comeback in first half stoppage time after scoring a long ball from 40 yards outside the box towards the center of the goal past Yarbrough following a set piece situation.
