FRISCO - FC Dallas is well-represented as the U.S. U-18's begin a 10-day camp in Marbella, Spain, running from Oct. 1 to 10.
Homegrown midfielder Paxton Pomykal and current U-19 midfielder Chris Cappis are two of the 20 players called in by U-18 head coach Omid Namazi. Academy graduate Brandon Servania, who is currently a freshman at Wake Forest, was also called to the camp. The Americans will play two friendlies while in Spain, facing Belgium on Oct. 5 and Russia on Oct. 9.
Pomykal, who recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of signing with the pro team, last joined the U-18s in April for the Slovakia Cup - along with Servania - as the U.S. finished runners-up. The 17-year-old has started two MLS matches, totaling 140 minutes played, during his rookie campaign.
Cappis, a recent addition to the FCD Academy after previously playing for Texans SC in Houston, earns his first National Team call-up since joining the club. He was named to the U-18 roster for the Lisbon International tournament in June and has started all three games Dallas' U-19s have played this season, scoring one goal.
