- FC Dallas has three shutouts through their first four matches for the second-consecutive year. After posting three in the opening four contests in 2015, Dallas went on to tie a franchise mark with 13 clean sheets in a single season (2011). Never before has the club picked up four shutouts in their first five games of the year.
- Against Eastern Conference foes, Dallas is 3-0-0 on the year and dating back to the beginning of 2015, the team is 6-0-1 at home against cross-conference opponents at Toyota Stadium.

- Columbus scored the second-most goals in MLS last season (58) and boasts an exciting single-striker look, very similar to Dallas’ dangerous attack which scored 52 goals in 2015.
