FRISCO - Last month, FC Dallas learned who they would play when they enter 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League play, and this morning they learned when their four matches will be.
Dallas will open group stage play with a home-and-home series against Nicaraguan-side Real Esteli FC beginning on Aug. 4th at Toyota Stadium, and then headed south to visit Real Esteli on Aug. 24th. Real Esteli has competed in the last four editions of the CONCACAF Champions League going 0-8-4 in three group stages while being eliminated by TFC in the 2012 preliminary round.
Then, after a month-long break from CCL play, FCD will host Guatemalan-side Club Deportivo Suchitepequez on Sept. 28 at Toyota Stadium, before heading to Guatemala on Oct. 20. CD Suchitepéquez is competing in their first-ever CCL after winning their first Guatemalan league championship in 33 years.
The winner of the three-team Group H will advance to the Knockout Stage of the tournament in early 2017.
