Left back to remain in Ecuador for 2018 season
FRISCO – Ecuadorian left back, Aníbal Chalá, will remain with Ecuadorian Serie A side L.D.U. Quito on loan throughout the 2018 season, FC Dallas announced today.
Chalá signed with FC Dallas in December 2016 before being diagnosed with a sports-hernia injury during the 2017 preseason. The 21-year-old returned to Ecuador to rehab and was officially loaned to Quito on May 12, 2017. The defender made 19 appearances in the Ecuadoran first division last season, logging nearly 1,700 minutes.
From 2013 to 2016, Chalá logged nearly 9,500 minutes in 116 league appearances for Ecuadorian first division side El Nacional. The left back scored twice and was a member of the Ecuadorian Under-20 side in 2015.
