Since the March 2 start to the 2013 campaign, FC Dallas has had a match every single weekend for the first nine weeks of the season. With Jimmy Buffett in town this weekend and a bye week on the calendar, we polled some FCD players and coaches to see what their plans were for the first weekend off in quite some time.
Defender Walker Zimmerman
Tonight I’m going to the Rangers game against Boston with a little fireworks show afterwards. I’m going with a buddy of mine, Clint Ritter who played at Furman with me.
Forward Eric Hassli
My wife’s parents are in town so we’ll just be hanging out with them and enjoying their company.
Midfielder Andrew Jacobson
Just relax, nothing else.
Defender Stephen Keel
Probably have an arts and crafts day, maybe go to Michael’s and get some supplies. I’ll probably get a couple canvases and paint a little bit, maybe bedazzle a couple things and see where the day takes me.
Midfielder Ramon Nunez
I’ll be visiting my girlfriend’s parents.
Goalkeeper Chris Seitz
I can finally get a weekend with my daughter. With our crazy schedule, it’ll be good to spend some good time with her.
Defender London Woodberry
I’m gonna cook probably one of the best meals I’ve cooked in my life. I don’t know what it’s going to be yet, but that’s probably the highlight of the weekend. Maybe like a four or five course meal.
Defender Zach Loyd
I’m going to go home and watch my son play in his soccer game tomorrow. Probably do some fishing, I just got a new husky named Sky so anything outside.
Forward Bradlee Baladez
Hit the pool and maybe catch some rays.
Assistant Coach Brent Erwin
Hanging out with my family at home.
Goalkeeper Richard Sanchez
Hanging out with my family.
Defender Matt Hedges
Just sleep all day.
Goalkeeper Kyle Zobeck
I have an appearance tomorrow. If I hadn’t said yes to an appearance before realizing it was an off weekend, I’d be going down to San Antonio.
