Winger has scored 22 times for FC Dallas across all competitions since 2015
FRISCO – FC Dallas has re-signed midfielder Michael Barrios through the 2019 season, with options for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, the club announced today.
Barrios, 26, recorded a franchise-record, three-assist performance against Real Salt Lake on June 3. That explosion sparked a run that has the winger tied for the MLS lead in assists this season (10). The Colombian now has 17 goals and 14 assists in 76 MLS appearances. He recorded a team-high, nine goals last season.
Barrios has scored three goals in five Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup starts. He also came off the bench to setup an own goal that gave FCD a 2-1 against Tulsa on June 14.
Barrios found the back of the net twice in five CONCACAF Champions’ League starts and served the ball into a dangerous area, resulting in another own goal against Arabe Unido during the Group Stage.
Barrios has one assist in six MLS Cup Playoff appearances.
The winger signed with FC Dallas on Feb. 20, 2015 after four seasons with Uniautonoma in the Colombian first division.
