Texas 21 is scheduled to air 24 regular season matches

FRISCO – FC Dallas announced its 2019 television schedule today which includes 24 regular season games scheduled to air on Texas 21. Ten of FC Dallas’ games will be featured on national television, with six on Univision, two on UniMás, one on ESPN and one on ESPN2. 


Texas 21 kicks off its coverage for the 2018 season at 3:30PM (CT) on Saturday, March 2 as FC Dallas hosts the New England Revolution in the season opener presented by Toyota. Pregame coverage for that match begins at 3PM CT with FC Dallas Live presented by Toyota

Other highlights of Texas 21’s broadcast schedule include:


  • D.C. United’s Independence Day visit to Toyota Stadium on Thursday, July 4 in a match presented by CoServ
  • Heineken Rivalry Week match against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, August 24 in a match presented by Heineken
  • Expansion FC Cincinnati’s first-ever visit to Toyota Stadium on Saturday, August 31 


“FC Dallas continues to have consistent ratings growth with our TV broadcasts on Texas 21 and we’re thrilled to be back on the air with them in 2019,” said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt.

FC Dallas Returns to Texas 21 in 2019 -

Mark Followill returns for his eighth season as the television play-by-play announcer for most Texas 21 broadcasts. Longtime soccer journalist Steve Davis will join Followill in the broadcast booth. All games on Texas 21 will have an audio simulcast and be streamed live on FCDallas.com/Radio.


For all FC Dallas matches broadcast nationally on network television, FCDallas.com’s Carter Baum will handle radio play-by-play duties with Davis joining him in the booth. These matches can be found on FCDallas.com/Radio.


Carlos Alvarado returns for his 24th season in the Spanish broadcast booth on 1270AM Univision Deportes. Rafa Calderon will join him, once again, as the color analyst. The duo also hosts FC Dallas Semanal on 1270AM every Thursday from 4-5PM during the MLS regular season.


Pre- and Postgame Coverage

Pregame coverage returns to TV in 2019 for all locally broadcast matches at Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas Live presented by Toyota will provide up-to-the-minute coverage on gameday. Gina Miller serves as the show’s host.


FC Dallas Extra Time presented by Toyota provides postgame coverage of FC Dallas’ locally-broadcast home matches. The shows can be found on FCDallas.com/Live as well as on Facebook and Twitter. Miller and Baum will host this show immediately following FC Dallas matches at Toyota Stadium.
