FRISCO – FC Dallas shored up its backline this week, signing London Woodberry to a Homegrown deal and agreeing to terms with re-entry draft pick Stephen Keel. Per team and league policy, terms of the deals will not be disclosed.

The McKinney, Texas, native, Woodberry earned Third Team NSCAA All-American honors as a senior for the Maryland Terrapins in 2012, helping his squad to eight shutouts over the course of the season. Woodberry appeared in 77 games during his collegiate career, notching four goals and four assists.

Woodberry is the ninth Homegrown signing for FC Dallas, joining Bradlee Baladez and Kellyn Acosta as the most recent additions to the professional team.

FC Dallas also agreed to terms with former Red Bull New York defender Stephen Keel this week. The Dallas side selected the 29-year-old’s rights in December’s re-entry draft.

Keel logged 501 minutes in nine appearances for New York last season after racking up career highs in games played (16), starts (13) and assists (2) with the Red Bulls during the 2011 season. He spent the 2009 and 2010 season with the Portland Timbers in the USL First Division. Keel originally signed a developmental contract with the Colorado Rapids in 2005 where he helped the Rapids to MLS Reserve Division titles in 2006 and 2007. In 2007, he was named MLS Magazine’s Reserve Player of the Year.
