First 100 accounts to purchase tickets for May 11 match against Timbers FC will receive a signed photo of Hollingshead or Ulloa
FRISCO, Texas (Tuesday, April 19, 2016) – FC Dallas has signed Victor Ulloa and Ryan Hollingshead to new multi-year contract extensions, the club announced today.
With first-place FC Dallas’ next home match at Toyota Stadium set for Wednesday, May 11 – the team will send signed photos of Hollingshead or Zimmerman to the next 100 ticket orders for the game against Timbers FC. The match is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. CT.
Raised in nearby Wylie, Texas – Ulloa, who captained FC Dallas for the first time this past weekend, signed as the second Homegrown player in franchise history on July 30, 2010. The defensive midfielder played a total nine minutes until his former academy coach Oscar Pareja started Ulloa in a 2-1 win against Portland on March 29, 2014. Ulloa finished the 2014 season ranked fourth in minutes played for FC Dallas (2,365), who qualified for the postseason for the first time since the 2011 season.
The former FC Dallas Academy captain logged a franchise record (for a non-goalkeeper) of 2,915 minutes played in a single season in 2015. He added two goals and an assist as the team advanced to the Western Conference Final. Ulloa has appeared in every match for FC Dallas this season. Dallas has a 4-0-0 record and has outscored teams 10-2 in matches when Ulloa plays the full 90 minutes.
Hollingshead, 24, was drafted out of UCLA with the 20th overall selection in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft. The All-American and Pac 12 Player of the Year (2012) took a year off from soccer to help his older brother, Scott, build a church in Sacramento, Calif., before officially joining FC Dallas for the 2014 preseason.
Hollingshead worked himself back into shape and made his professional debut in a 2-1 win against San Jose on May 31, 2014. He scored his first career goal in a 2-0 win against Philadelphia on March 21, 2015, and finished the 2015 season as Dallas’ starting left back. Hollingshead finished last season with two goals and three assists and ranked fifth in minutes played (2,171). He started the last six matches for FC Dallas this season, in which the team has a 4-0-2 record.
