FRISCO, Texas (Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014) – FC Dallas has transferred midfielder Bobby Warshaw to Swedish football club GAIS. Per league policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
The club has also waived its rights to Bradlee Baladez and Kyle Zobeck.
Drafted 17th overall in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft, Warshaw appeared in 32 games for FC Dallas, logging seven starts and scoring one goal. In 2013 he played nine games for Dallas before he was loaned to Swedish second division side Ӓngelholms FF on Aug. 13. In Sweden, the Pennsylvania native played 785 minutes in nine starts, scoring eight goals.
Baladez signed a Homegrown contract with FC Dallas prior to the start of the 2013 season. He played 27 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Montreal on July 20. Zobeck was a supplemental draft pick in 2013 and started four matches for the FC Dallas Reserves.
FC Dallas opens the 2014 season at Toyota Stadium on March 8 against the Montreal Impact, presented by AdvoCare.
