FC Dallas Youth Trio Wins Championships with Respective U.S. Youth National Teams

FRISCO - As the FC Dallas Academy and ECNL preseasons get underway, a trio of players helped their respective U.S. Youth National Teams take home a pair of trophies over the weekend.


FCD U-18 Academy players Paxton Pomykal and Brandon Servania were both a part of the U.S. U-18s capture the 23rd International Vaclav Jezek Tournament in the Czech Republic.


The Americans went undefeated in the group stage with wins over Slovakia, Hungary and Russia before facing the hosts, Czech Republic, in the tournament final. Pomykal scored a fantastic goal to level the championship game 1-1, as the U-18s went on to win, 4-2. 

On the Girls' side, Hollyn Torres, a member of the FCD U-14 ECNL team last season that won the Texas Conference with a 12-1-5 record, started for the U.S. U-15 Girls National Team as they took home the U-15 CONCACAF Championship with a 2-0 win over Canada this weekend in Orlando, Florida.


The Americans went a perfect 7-0 in the event and scored 49 goals, including a 22-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in group play and a 12-0 win over Bermuda in the Quarterfinal. This age group is set to compete in the U-17 Women's World Cup in 2018.
