FRISCO - While Tournament Week is in full swing in North Texas, an FC Dallas U-11 team will head to Brazil this week to compete in the Go Cup tournament.

FC Dallas has traveled to Brazil the past three years to compete in this international tournament. Each year competing, FC Dallas has successfully gotten out of their group and seen success. The goal this year is no different for coach Phil Gomez.
"We're looking for a good test for our teams," he said this week.
The tournament consists of 266 teams from U-07's through U-12's participating. Most of these teams are ranked as the top South-American teams.
"(This tournament provides a unique opportunity to) experience a high level competition, where they can use our concepts to find success in the problems presented by the opponents," Gomez said. "The players on these other teams also have individual talent, along with the team tactics provides a level that we may not get here in the states."
