The FC Dallas Player Development system continues to provide college programs around the country with players that have refined their skills through the FC Dallas Youth program. The FCD College Round-up is our bi-weekly series that will keep track of a select number of former FCDY players and monitor their progress through the college soccer ranks.
Baylor University (13-1-4) – Natalie Huggins (Sophomore Forward)
Baylor's undefeated run has reached 14 games with two draws and a pair of wins in the last two weeks. The Bears tied West Virginia 1-1 before settling for a scoreless draw with Oklahoma State, followed by a 2-1 overtime win against Texas and a 1-0 win over Iowa State. Huggins started all four of those games for BU, bringing her minutes total to 1,002 on the season.
Duke University (6-7-1) – Jack Coleman (Sophomore Midfielder)
Duke is 2-2 in the last two weeks, losing to Maryland and Boston College while picking up identical 2-0 wins over Presbyterian and Davidson. Coleman started against Maryland, went the full 90 against both Boston College and Davidson and picked up an assist in the win over Davidson.
Florida Gulf Coast University (6-5-2) – Aaron Guillen (Freshman Defender)
Florida Gulf Coast University snapped its winless streak with three straight wins; beating USC Upstate 1-0, North Florida 2-0 and Jacksonville 3-2 in double overtime. Guillen started and played every minute of all three of those matches for the Eagles and tallied assists in the wins over USC Upstate and Jacksonville.
Furman University (14-3-2) – Holly Reilly (Sophomore Goalkeeper)
The Furman Women’s soccer team has been on a tear over the last two weeks, shutting out Western Carolina, Appalachian State, Georgia Southern and Davidson before beating Wofford 3-2 in overtime. Reilly didn't see time in any of those matches.
Hardin-Simmons University (13-0-1) – Eliza Keegan (Sophomore Forward)
The Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls continued their undefeated season and have now won 12 straight after beating East Texas Baptist, Howard Payne, Texas at Tyler and LeTourneau. Keegan played in all four of those matches.
Harvard University (2-8-3) – Mark Ashby (Freshman Defender)
In the last two weeks Harvard has dropped a 2-1 result to Brown in overtime, beaten Boston University 2-1 in double overtime and lost to Princeton 2-1 in double overtime. Ashby continues to be a regular in The Crimson defense, starting the last three matches to bring his start total to 12 on the season.
Iowa State University (10-9-0) – Lindsay Frank (Sophomore Defender)
Iowa State picked up a 3-0 win over Drake two weeks ago before dropping a 4-1 result to Kansas and giving up a late goal in a 1-0 loss to Baylor.. Frank has started every game in the Cyclone defense, logging a total of 1,475 minutes.
McNeese State University (8-9-2) – Tori Lasiter (Sophomore Midfielder), Haley Lyons (Sophomore Forward), Krista Steinbeiser (Sophomore Midfielder), Jordan Leinweaver (Senior Defender), Megan Rogers (Senior Midfielder)
The McNeese State Cowgirls lost three of their last four; losing to Oral Roberts, Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State and picking up their last win of the season over Northwestern State. Lasiter saw action off the bench in all four of those matches; Lyons started all four matches and scored in the win over Northwestern; Steinbeiser saw substitute minutes in all those games; Leinweaver got time off the bench against Oral Roberts; and Rogers started all four games.
Old Dominion University (10-2-2) – Skylar Hagan (Sophomore Midfielder)
Old Dominion University won three of its last four; beating UNC Wilmington 3-1, losing to William & Mary 2-1 and beating Towson 2-1 and Georgia State 1-0. Hagan has started every game in the Monarchs midfield in 2012.
Southern Methodist University (9-3-3) – Chris Figueroa (Sophomore Midfielder), Jaime Ibarra (Junior Goalkeeper)
SMU is 1-1-1 over the last two weeks; dropping a 1-0 result to Central Florida, beating Florida International 3-2 and drawing Missouri State 1-1. Ibarra has played every game for the Mustangs. Figueroa hasn't seen any action this season.
University of Arkansas (9-8-1) – Allie Tripp (Sophomore Defender)
The Razorbacks have won three of their last four; losing to Texas A&M 3-1 before beating Auburn 1-0, Missouri 2-1 and Mississippi State 2-1. Tripp started each of the last four matches and tallied an assist on the game-winner against Auburn.
University of Maryland (14-0-1) – London Woodberry (Senior Defender), Mikey Ambrose (Freshman Defender)
Maryland's dominant season continues as the team has now won 13 straight after beating Duke, Colgate, North Carolina and Lehigh in the last two weeks. Ambrose has started every match for the Terps this yeartallying assists in the wins over Duke and Lehigh. Woodberry has started all but one match for Maryland, as he sat out of the win over Colgate.
University of New Mexico (12-3-0) – Nick Rochowski (Freshman Defender)
New Mexico dropped one of its last four; losing 2-1 to Air Force before shutting out Denver 2-0, UNLV 11-0 and CSU Bakersfield 2-0 in the last two weeks . Rochowski hasn't seen any minutes this season.
University of North Carolina (12-2-1) – Boyd Okwuonu (Sophomore Defender), Danny Garcia (Freshman Midfielder)
In the last two weeks, UNC beat College of Charleston 3-0, lost to undefeated Maryland 1-0 in overtime and beat Campbell 3-0. Garcia started two of the last three, coming in off the bench against Maryland and tallying an assist against Campbell. Okwuonu rejoined the team from his time with the U.S. U-20s at the Marbella Cup in Spain in time to play every minute of the last two matches.
University of North Texas (10-4-1) – Michelle Young (Senior Forward)
UNT extended its unbeaten run to nine games after beating Arkansas State, University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Middle Tennessee before losing its final game of the regular season to Western Kentucky by a score of 2-0. Young has played in every game for the Mean Green and scored a goal against Arkansas State, bagged a brace and an assist in the win over UALR and scored another goal against Middle Tennessee.
University of South Carolina (4-10-2) – Bradlee Baladez (Sophomore, Midfielder/Forward)
South Carolina has lost five in a row after dropping results to Marshall, Wofford, Memphis and Coastal Carolina in the last two weeks. Baladez has started every game for the Gamecocks, and tallied a goal and an assist in the effort vs. Coastal Carolina.
