This past weekend in Frisco, the FC Dallas Women continued to tear through their WPSL schedule with a two defeats over ÂÂOklahoma City FC and FC Tulsa Spirit at Dr. Pink Park.
Those results run the team’s record to a perfect 6-0-0, placing them firmly atop the table with the full 18 points, four points ahead of second-placed Texas Spurs FC, who FC Dallas beat 3-1 on June 8th. In their debut season, Ben Waldrum’s squad is already making easy work of the WPSL’s Southwest division.
Last weekend, the girls opened with Oklahoma City FC and came away with a 4-2 victory against the previously-unbeaten OKC squad. Sunday afternoon, Chestley Strother put on a show with two olympicos, goals directly off of corner kicks, in the team’s 3-0 win against FC Tulsa Spirit.
With the pair of wins by a combined score of 7-2, FC Dallas now has a plus-19 goal differential, scoring 23 goals and having only allowed 4 –– including three shutouts.
The team will start a three-game road trip this Wednesday, June 15 against Texas Spurs FC in Lucas, Texas. The women will return home to Frisco on Sunday, June 26 against Houston South Select at Dr. Pink Park. That game will kickoff at 3:00 p.m. CT.
