Playoffs Or Bust, Baby

FC Dallas is currently in sixth place in the Western Conference with 43 points. Houston is three points ahead of Dallas in fifth place. Right now, FCD is one point ahead of both Real Salt Lake and San Jose who both have 42 points on the year. Dallas needs to equal or exceed the Quakes and RSL’s point totals over the final two weeks of the regular season to hold on to the one-point lead over both clubs and clinch a postseason berth for the fourth straight season.

Hittin’ The Road For The Last Time In The Regular Season

Sunday’s match marks FC Dallas’ last road game of the 2017 regular season. Dallas is currently 3-7-6 away from Toyota Stadium in 2017. FCD finished 5-7-5 on the road in 2016. FC Dallas posted a franchise-best eight road wins in 1997 (8-8-0). The fewest road wins Dallas has ever had in a season was one, in 2003 (1-11-3). FC Dallas’ final regular season game of 2017 is Sunday, October 22 against the LA Galaxy.

Morales Getting Minutes

Javier Morales made his third straight start in FC Dallas’ 1-1 draw against Colorado on October 7, which was also the third straight match Dallas played without posting a loss. Morales also played the full 90 minutes for the second straight match and notched his second assist of the season, his first coming on August 26.
