FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas forwards Franco Jara and Santiago Mosquera have been named to MLS Team of the Week after the duo combined for six goals over Dallas' two games during Game Week 12.
Jara began the week with a goal off a corner kick in FCD's 4-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at Toyota Stadium. He followed it up with his first brace for the club in the dramatic 3-2 win at Children's Mercy Park against Sporting KC, making it five goals in his last five games. His five goals over the month of September is the most of any player in the league.
Mosquera had his best day in an FC Dallas jersey last Wednesday when he hit Colorado for three to register the first hat trick of his career. With four goals this September, he's the second highest scorer in MLS this month, just one behind Jara. This is both players' first Team of the Week appearance this season.
