FRISCO - It's the very first Texas Health Sports Medicine Injury Report of 2019! Both FC Dallas and the New England Revolution are holding a couple carry-over injuries from the preseason as the real deal gets set to begin.
NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION
OUT: Andrew Farrell (eye)
QUESTIONABLE: Juan Fernando Caicedo (muscle)
New England will be without preferred starting right back Andrew Farrell as he continues to recover from an eye injury suffered in preseason training. The six-year veteran has started at least 30 games each year since being drafted first overall in 2013.
Offseason addition Juan Fernando Caicedo is expected to help the Revs' offensive production, but could be limited for the 2019 season opener with a muscle injury. He was considered day-to-day in the first matchweek of the season.
FC DALLAS
OUT: Cristian Colman (left ACL tear), Francis Atuahene (ruptured left pectoral)
QUESTIONABLE: Callum Montgomergy (high ankle sprain)
Cristian Colman and Francis Atuahene will spend much of the first half of the season on the injury report, Colman recovering from a torn ACL last year and Atuahene from a torn pectoral muscle suffered during preseason.
SuperDraft pick Callum Montgomery is questionable as he works his way back from a high ankle sprain suffered last week in Tucson.
