BRADENTON, Fla – Though Paxton Pomykal was not in the Starting XI in the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team match against the U.S. Virgin Islands, he later made an impact.
Pomykal was subbed into the match in the 59th minute and found the back of the net 10 minutes later. After a scramble outside the area, Paxton Pomykal worked his way through four defenders before slotting home a low blast in the 69th minute.
The USA’s 10th goal of the match marked a new team record for scoring at the Concacaf U-20 Championship.
The 13-0 result marks a new USA scoring record against an opponent at a Concacaf U-20 Championship. The U.S. U-20 team currently sits at the top of Group A and will face fellow undefeated Trinidad & Tobago on Monday, November 5.
