FRISCO, Texas - Future FC Dallas forward Franco Jara scored twice for current club Pachuca in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Xolos on Friday, March 13. Considering Liga MX announced the temporary suspension of its season in the wake of COVID-19 shortly after, it may be one of the last times we see Jara in action before he joins FC Dallas this summer.

Jara opened the scoring on Friday night from the penalty spot after VAR deemed there was a foul in the box following a corner kick. A prolific penalty taker, Jara made no mistake and buried it far left.
But he wasn't done. Although Pachuca found themselves 3-1 down late in the game, Jara gave his side a ray of hope after he robbed the goalkeeper of possession and cleverly finished the chance from an acute angle. Friday's brace brought Jara's tally to seven goals in 10 Clausura games this year, good for 5th most in the league. Pachuca resides in 11th place in the table and will remain there for the foreseeable future now with the season on hold.
