FRISCO, Texas - For 70 minutes on Saturday night it was pure frustration for Je-Vaughn Watson and FC Dallas as they dominated possession against Chivas USA, but couldn't find the breakthrough against goalkeeper Dan Kennedy. Then the dam burst.
A three-goal outburst in the final 20 minutes of the match saw scenes of celebration all over Toyota Stadium, but none bigger than when Jamaican midfielder Je-Vaughn Watson scored his first of the season in the 78th minute, a game-winning goal that doubled FCD's lead and saw almost the entire team run over to Watson in celebration.
"It was a beautiful moment for me," said Watson after the match. "It was one of my best goals. When it went in, I felt like I was on cloud nine or 10, just to score my first goal of the season. I was enjoying it."

For any soccer player, there's nothing better than celebrating a goal, something FCD has done more than any other team in MLS through the first three weeks of the season with a league-leading seven goals scored.
"It’s good to score and to celebrate a goal is very wonderful because no matter how hard you work if you don’t score it’s nothing," said Watson. "Tonight I was just lacking a goal, because I was running all over the place and to score a goal and see the guys celebrating, it is just a wonderful feeling."
A popular face in the Toyota Stadium locker room, Watson is known as a goofy, fun-loving player - you'll never find another Jamaican who actually prefers the cold winter we've seen this year- and in 2014 he's seen a renaissance of form.

"He’s a character Je-Vaughn. He’s a funny guy, a great locker room guy," said center back Matt Hedges. "He keeps everyone on their toes and I’m really happy to see him score. He works really hard out on the field and to watch him get a goal is fantastic."
Already with a goal and an assist to his name in 2014, Watson has found a home on the right side of the midfield attack with his 6-1 frame and blistering speed giving defenses fits as we saw in his goal on Saturday night.
"It was the perfect ball, because I was running all the way from our half of the field. It was just me making a hard run and getting through because I know I’m faster than the guy," said Watson. "It was a perfect ball. He couldn’t have done anything, it was only for me to get on the end of it."
