FRISCO, Texas- After a tough couple of games for FC Dallas in Week 29, but coming out with 2 points, Jesse Gonzalez and Paxton Pomykal have made it on the bench for MLS Team of the Week for Week 29.
Paxton Pomykal makes it on the bench this week for Team of the Week marking his sixth time getting Team of the Week honors this season. Pomykal was a key player in the game against NYCFC coming in after Brandon Servania left due to injury and kept pressing offensively through the end of the match. He recorded 3 shots, and had a part in the sequence leading up to Zdenek Ondrasek's goal. He also was a force against the Seattle Sounders where he intercepted the ball twice, recovered it once and had a number of successful passes throughout the full 90 minutes.
Jesse Gonzalez also is on the bench this week after shutting out the Sounders and limiting NYCFC to one goal early in the match. This is Gonzalez's fourth appearance on the Team of the Week roster this season. Gonzalez had three key saves against the Sounders, as well as recovering the ball 11 times. Against NYCFC Gonzalez recorded 3 saves, and four recoveries.
