St. Paul, Minn. – FC Dallas Homegrown Jesús Ferreira and the MLS All-Stars were victorious in the Skills Challenge over the Liga MX All-Stars Tuesday night at Allianz Field.
"It's exciting, it's something you always want to be a part of, to laugh and enjoy it," Ferreira said afterwards. "I'm very happy that I was able to be on the field with so many stars."
Ferreira first competed in the Shooting Challenge alongside Houston Dynamo's Hector Herrera and Minnesota United's Emanuel Reynoso where they took an early lead over their Liga MX counterparts.
The scores were level heading into the final round: the fabled Crossbar Challenge. Ferreira struck the crossbar first for the MLS All-Stars from the edge of the 18-yard box which paved the way for Nashville SC's Hany Mukhtar to win it outright with a perfect chip from midfield.
Ferreira and teammate Paul Arriola continue the All-Star activities Wednesday night with the main event: The 2022 MLS All-Star Game 7:30PM against the Liga MX All-Stars at Allianz Field. The match will be shown on ESPN.
