DALLAS - FC Dallas midfielder Kellyn Acosta receives the model treatment this month in Modern Luxury Dallas’ “Men of the Moment” issue. Kellyn joined other notable Dallas dudes such as chef and restauranteur Julian Barsotti, race car driver Nick Boulle and jeweler Andrew Glassford in the April issue.
Acosta traded his cleats and warm-ups for Louis Vuitton loafers and Burberry shirts during his photo shoot at Hall Arts located in Downtown Dallas. It was certainly a different turn for the 22-year old who is used to playing front of thousands of fans on the pitch. Posing on-camera in front of a small crew can be intimidating but Acosta’s natural affinity for the camera blossomed as he grew more comfortable throughout the shoot.
Acosta and photographer Billy Surface shot two different looks taking advantage of the buildings interior and exterior space. The interior shoot offered a contrasting black and white backdrop while the outdoor shots showcased the beauty of downtown Dallas.
“Our four men this year all have newsworthy plans in the works,” noted Modern Luxury Editor-In-Chief Kristie Ramirez in her monthly letter from the editor.
