Know Your Enemy DC

FRISCO - There’s no rest for the winning as FC Dallas hosts DC United on Tuesday night, completing a three-games-in-eight-days home stretch. Dallas (7-3-7) is back in winning form after a 3-1 result over the former Eastern Conference leaders on Saturday. DC (5-10-3) finds themselves at the bottom of the East winning two games over the last two months.

Opposing Offenses

DC United has scored a league-low 12 goals in 18 games this season, including just three over their last 10 games. They’ve also got the third worst goal differential in MLS with a -15. FCD, on the other hand, has scored 12 goals in their last three matches at home across all competitions. Maxi Urruti matched his career-high with his 10th of the season Saturday and is the club’s first double-digit goal scorer since 2014.

Key Match-Ups

Walker Hume vs. José Guillermo Ortiz - With Maynor Figueroa joining the list of international absences, the rookie Hume could draw back into the fold for his fifth pro start, third in league play

Roland Lamah vs. Chris Korb - With five goals in the last two league matches at Toyota Stadium, Lamah is feeling quite at home in Frisco. Korb will have to end the winger’s streak.

Last Time Out

(4-2-3-1): Travis Worra; Taylor Kemp, Kofi Opare, Steve Birnbaum, Chris Korb; Ian Harkes, Marcelo Sarvas; Patrick Nyarko, Luciano Acosta, Lloyd Sam; Deshorn Brown.

Keys to Three Points

FC Dallas will look to ride their current form into the Gold Cup break with a final test at home against a lowly Eastern Conference opponent. If they can maintain offensive form and once again adjust to a new back line look, FCD can close out the first half with a six-point holiday weekend at home.
