FRISCO, Texas - Goalkeeper Kyle Zobeck was named to the MLS Team of the Week bench for Week 11 after a strong performance in Dallas' 2-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo Saturday night at Toyota Stadium.
It was Zobeck's second-ever MLS start after stepping in for an injured Jimmy Maurer between the sticks. He registered two saves and had a 70% passing accuracy in his first FC Dallas appearance in front of a home crowd at Toyota Stadium. The 30-year-old stepped up in a major way in the 37th minute to deny Mauro Manotas in a 1v1 after the Colombian went through on goal. This is Zobeck's first MLS Team of the Week appearance.
