FRISCO, Texas - North Texas SC defender Lamar Batista was named to the USL League One Team of the Week for his performance in the club's home opener on Saturday, July 25 against Forward Madison FC at Globe Life Park.
In his debut for the club, Batista had a team-high four interceptions, 136 touches, won 83% of his duels, including 100% of his three aerial duels. He also made 126 passes - the most of any player - with an accuracy of 93.7%. The defender is the first NTSC player named to USL's Team of the Week this season.
