ATLANTA - FC Dallas and Atlanta United FC will square off at the all-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on national television this afternoon in the first-ever meeting between the teams. Let’s take a look at Oscar Pareja’s lineup as Dallas looks to break their eight-game winless streak.
No. 10s
Mauro Diaz will make his second straight start for FCD and is looking to build off a strong performance last week against the Red Bulls in a 2-2 draw. It will be a battle of No. 10s as Miguel Almiron pulls to strings for Atlanta’s attack on the opposing side.
Hollingshead on the Left Wing
Ryan Hollingshead will start in place of Roland Lamah on the left flank for FCD this afternoon. He has subbed on to the left wing five times this season and twice on the right, but it is his first start in a position other than left back in 2017. Maynor Figueroa will return to his usual left back role behind Hollinghsead.
National Teamers Back
Defenders Matt Hedges and Maynor Figueroa and defensive midfielders Kellyn Acosta and Carlos Gruezo are all back in the Starting XI for Dallas after missing last week’s match on international duty. Tesho Akindele, who was also gone, is available off the bench for Oscar Pareja’s side.
