COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - It's matchday 34 of 34 in the 2018 MLS Regular Season as Dallas and Colorado square off in the Rockies.
FCD can clinch a first-round bye with a win, but could fall as low as fifth in the West with a loss and other results falling the wrong way.
ONE SWITCH
From last week's match against SKC, Oscar Pareja has made just one change to the Starting XI - adding Roland Lamah on the left wing in place of Santiago Mosquera, who moves to the bench. The hope with Lamah and Michael Barrios on the opposite flank is to create volume on the wings against a Rapids team that stacks numbers in the midfield.
BADJI'S HOMECOMING
Three months and five days after being acquired by Dallas, Dominique Badji will return to face his former club for the very first time. The forward played 91 games for the Rapids from 2015-2018, scoring 24 goals and adding 12 assists. In his former home stadium, he'll look to spark a Dallas attack that has been shutout in two straight matches.
WIN AND REST
Dallas needs a win on the final day of 2018 to secure a first-round bye and avoid playing a Knockout Round match on Wednesday or Thursday night. With attacking options like Tesho Akindele, Pablo Aranguiz, Santiago Mosquera and even Ryan Hollingshead, if Oscar Pareja finds himself chasing the game or in a stalemate, expect a plethora of attacking threats to go for the W in Colorado.
