10 Days, One Change

After a 2-0 win over the same Rapids 10 days ago, FCD will trot out the same look tonight in what has become a new normal for Pareja. Javier Morales will draw his third straight start with Carlos Gruezo and Mauro Diaz in the central midfield, while Ryan Hollingshead will fill in for the international absence of Maynor Figueroa at left back in his eighth start of the season. The utility man started at left back against the Rapids in June’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup meeting.

Assist Lookout

Michael Barrios returns to Dallas’ Starting XI with 13 assists to his name this season, one shy of the club record held by Jason Kreis (14).

Last week against Colorado, it was Hernan Grana who picked up a pair of helpers, doubling his assist total within the opening 10 minutes of the game.

Results at Altitude

FC Dallas has not lost in its last four trips to Colorado, including a game-tying strike from 30 yards by Victor Ulloa last July to earn a point and take two away from Colorado, the same margin by which FCD beat the Rapids in the Supporters’ Shield race.

Tonight represents Dallas’ last game in-hand over Real Salt Lake and San Jose in the 2017 playoff race, where any amount of points would give the visitors a playoff position heading into the final two weeks.
